To be able to finally see these guys live, and to be able to sing their songs with them, it just takes me back and I instantly felt 12 years younger - wishing that time would stop. What a wonderful opportunity and a great feeling.

The Oakland crowd was quite tame in the 'seated area' (not mosh pit) where I sat - sad but expected. Except for the two girls up front (one with a red dress and feather boa) who rocked from beginning to end. Wished everyone else around me was like them.

In the very small approximately 2000 person theatre...
I had only two regrets.. one - that the crowd was not as wild where I sat; and secondly, that I did not memorize the lyrics to KURENAI.

I always wondered if X Japan had a chorus with them when they sang in concerts when they sang Kurenai for example.. now I realize it was their audience providing the back up vocals (which we sucked). Magnificent!!

...but it was all OK when they came back for their encore and sang ENDLESS RAIN. The evening would not have been complete without that. I would've refused to leave unless they sang that one song.

This is the game I've been obsessing over lately.. I've put over 40 hours on this RPG... If you know anything about my SHORT attention span for anything, including games this is a phenomenal feat. It usually only takes me two days to get bored of any game it seems in my old age.

I can describe as Final Fantasy 7 with guns that has a strategic gameplay where your location and how you interact with obstacles on the board enhances the fight.

I first saw this game when I was in Japan in February.. by this time Final Fantasy 13 was already 'old news'.. relatively and this was the next big thing in all the big screen monitors at game shops.

Check out the intro. This was all I needed to fall in love at first sight.

I went to the local knife show today...
...and for the first time in 7 years I went without a friend of mine. It was not so much a big deal that he went to Texas to get married, but really, today, it hit home that I missed him.

When I saw an old school knife I would get really excited, but many of my local buds now were into the newer "en vogue" stuff, they just didn't get it.. I really did feel alone. these are some of the things ya miss when time passes by.

I hear from a few of my older friends how they really felt sad when their friends slowly were dying, leaving them behind, and it seems like a curse to be of remarkably good health and to last a fruitful old age.

I think I slowly understand somewhat how they feel.
